UNESCO-Madanjeet Singh Prize for the Promotion of Tolerance and Non-Violence

Nominations open for UNESCO-Madanjeet Singh Prize 

 

UNESCO is seeking nominations for the UNESCO-Madanjeet Singh Prize for the Promotion of Tolerance and Non-Violence.

The prize rewards exceptional contributions and demonstrated leadership in the field of the promotion of tolerance and non-violence.  Awarded every two years, on the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance (16 November), the Prize is marked by a ceremony and the winner is presented with the sum of US$ 100,000. 

As an NGO in official partnership with UNESCO, AASSREC is eligible to submit nominations for this prestigious award. If you would like AASSREC to nominate an individual/s or organisation for this award please contact the AASSREC Secretary-General, Ms Michelle Bruce, michelle.bruce@socialsciences.org.au to request the nomination form. Completed nomination documentation will need to be sent to the AASSREC Secretariat no later than Sunday 10 July so that we have sufficient time to submit the nomination to UNSECO by their 15 July deadline.
