Social and Cultural Nexus of Science and Technology Development Conference

The National Science Foundation (NSF) of Sri Lanka held an international conference on the “Social and Cultural Nexus of Science and Technology Development”.

The Conference was held in Colombo from 3 -4 October 2019 with the aim of creating a platform to discuss, present and debate knowledge on how the Science and Technology (S&T) development of a country is shaped by socio-cultural factors.

The NSF organized this event noting the different approaches taken by the developed and other developing countries in the region in technology adoption and to enhance the policy debates on how the progress of science and technology of the country can be stimulated by taking a holistic view on the topic.
