Call for Papers: The Southeast Asian Social Science Review

The Malaysian Social Science Association is pleased to share the call for papers for the upcoming publication of The Southeast Asian Social Science Review (SEASSR) for July – Dec 2022 / Jan – June 2023.

SEASSR,  the flagship publication of the Association, which is published twice a year, is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing critical scholarship in the field of social sciences and humanities.

As indicated in the Guide to Contributors, SEASSR publishes articles, book reviews, conference reports, research notes, interviews, communications, as well as think pieces or commentaries that can contribute towards, or even extend the frontiers of, scholarly debate on various issues of interest to a wide range of scholars and readers. While its empirical focus is on Malaysia and Southeast Asia, the journal welcomes papers on the social sciences and humanities in general, as well as those that adopt an interdisciplinary or even transdisciplinary perspective.

For more information on the manuscript submission, please visit the SEASSR website.  Submission is made accessible via a virtual platform here.

To date, 12 volumes have been published, and it is hoped that scholars from other parts of the world find SEASSR as a useful platform to publish their works. As a journal that is inclusive and one that believes in upholding and nurturing talent, SEASSR will publish works from different generations of scholars, if possible, in every issue. They also hope readers will find the journal informative and a useful source of reference that is engaging and thought-provoking in terms of views, analysis, and perspectives.

The journal can be purchased online here for RM40 (~USD 10). For further inquiries, please contact SEASSR via their website here.
